I'm unapologetically loving Charlamagne's book 'Black Privilege' and I'm recommending that EVERYONE read it, irregardless if you're black, white, blue, green, etc. This book was the push that I needed to finally get a jumpstart on the career track that I need, because of his 'demotivational speaking'. In the book he talks about where he comes from and his not so straight path to success, but it was something about the way he appreciated his downfalls, him being fired, and everything else that one would see as negative that was most inspiring, because I am the type of person to let those type of things discourage me instead of realizing they are further assisting me along the path I am supposed to be taking. Charlamagne however understands that these are all a part of the journey to success, and they actually make you appreciate your success that much more once you get there. He speaks on self-discipline, being coachable, and other necessary tools that are key ingredients for success, and that I have made both mental and physical notes of. After reading this book I one, looked at Charlamagne in a completely different light and had a new found respect for the man, and two I felt completely inspired, and unafraid of the possibility of failure, ok well not completely unafraid but a lot more confident in myself, lol we gone be honest. I would love to tell you guys more but I don't want to give away any of the good stuff, and really want you guys to actually go read it and hopefully be inspired by it in the same way that I was; if not, that's ok, it's still a good read. So here's to Charlamagne, his demotivational speaking, his 'I know I can do this' attitude and his filterless truth, because Nita is unapologetically loving Black Privilege.
